JAMMU, June 26: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha has nullified the initiated process for election of its president and authorized the incumbent Vinod Gupta to convene a fresh meeting of the working committee as early as possible for nomination of new election commissioner besides fixing new date of the election.
Decisions in this regard were taken during a meeting of the Mahajan Sabha working committee, held today under the chairmanship of Vinod Gupta.
During the meeting, the initiated election process for the post of president, in accordance with earlier decision of the working committee on May 15, 2016, came under review. The participants drew attention towards some controversial issues and decision of the election commissioner and after a threadbare discussion over the same, it was decided to declare the election process as null and void, far for maintaining unity and in best interest of the Mahajan Sabha.
The meet also decided that fresh process of election will be finalized within a period of three months.
The meeting was attended by Amar Nath Gupta, T R Gupta, Romesh Gupta, Jugal Mahajan, Prem Lal Gupta, S K Gupta, Sham Langer, Ram Langer, Dr Jia Lal, Surinder Gupta, Varender Gupta, Chander Mohan Gupta, Shiv Partap Gupta, Rattan Hindu, Ajay Gupta, Ram Charan Gupta and others.
