A large number of devotees thronged both the religious shrines to pay obeisance to this great saint of Kashmir to invoke his blessings.

Giving religious discourses the scholars threw light on the life and teachings of Swami Ji who they said has kept the Vaakh Parampara of Kashmir alive. They said Swami Ji was a great spiritual authority who had done many miracles during his life time. They said Swami Ji had spelt doom for tyrant Afghan rulers as people at that time were fed up by their atrocities. As the people fed up from the atrocities of Afghan rulers, they approached Swami Ji for help and he made prophecy that within days King of Punjab, Maharaja Ranjit Singh will invade Kashmir and free Kashmiris from the clutches of cruel rulers of Afghan. This prophecy proved prophetic and within days Maharaja Ranjit Singh invaded Kashmir and defeated the Afghan rulers who fled to Kabul and Kashmir was freed from their atrocities.
