UDHAMPUR, Oct 25: District Congress working president, Sumeet Magotra visited Ladda area where the locals informed him about the problems being faced by them.
Villagers told him that the Maungri-Ladda road was completely damaged four months back due to which bus service has been suspended causing great inconvenience to the people.
They also complained that survey for the Parikrama Road is being carried out through forest areas instead of densely populated localities, which has created distress among locals.
The locals further said that the route of the decades old traditional Parikrama Yatra is also being changed sparking anger and resentment among the people.
“Some leaders from Reasi are trying to alter this route,” they claimed.
After listening to the grievances, Magotra expressed displeasure and said that MLA Udhampur West must address these issues immediately otherwise they will be compelled to protest.
Magotra also asked the concerned departmental officers to start repair work of road on a war footing.
