MENDHAR, June 21: A joint team of Sub-Divisional Administration, Mendhar led by Tehsildar and SDPO today during market inspection destroyed unwholesome/ rotten fruits and vegetables and also seized 20 kg of polythene bags.
The team led by Tehsildar Shahzad Khan, SDPO Mendhar, Riaz Tantray (DySP), Tehsil Supply Officer Abdul Khaliq and SHO Insp Abid Raffiqi conducted inspection in the market at Mendhar and challenged at least two dozen traders for default. They also destroyed unwholesome/ rotten fruits and vegetables and other items and also seized 20 kg of polythene bags.
A fine of Rs 3900 was imposed and realized from the defaulters on the spot. The traders were asked to display rate lists at their shops. Tehsildar claimed that market checking will go on till coming Eid festival.
