JAMMU, Jan 27: Luminous, in collaboration with the Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust (Art of Living Bangalore), has announced the successful completion of a two-month Solar PV Installation Technician Training Course at NITS Polytechnic, Indra Nagar, Miran Sahib, Jammu.
A total of 30 trainees from rural background, participated in this program, which began on November 27, 2024, with the aim of equipping them with essential skills for careers in the solar energy sector.
The valedictory ceremony, held to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the trainees, was graced by Avinash Sharma, Sales Head of Luminous J&K and Ladakh. He took the opportunity to recognize the achievements of the trainees, encouraging them to continue developing their skills and stressing the vital role of such training programs in promoting growth in the renewable energy industry, particularly in solar energy.
The chief guest, Savinder Gupta, Chairman of NITS Polytechnic, acknowledged the trainees’ hard work, dedication, and perseverance throughout the course, which he noted would pave the way for their future success in the solar energy sector. He encouraged the graduates to continue refining both their technical expertise and soft skills, stressing that success in their careers would not only depend on their technical knowledge but also on their ability to communicate effectively, collaborate with others, and adapt to the dynamic nature of the industry. He also highlighted the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement, urging the trainees to stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
Anirudh Gupta, the program’s coordinator, highlighted the key collaboration between NITS Polytechnic, Sri Sri Rural Development Programme Trust, Schneider Electric, and Luminous in establishing a state-of-the-art Solar Lab in Jammu.
This initiative is a first-of-its-kind in the region, offering specialized training in solar technology.
