LUB delegation calls on Union Home Secy, discusses MSME issues

JAMMU, July 23: To discuss the MSME issues, a high-level delegation comprising executive members of Laghu Udyog Bharati (LUB) today called on the Union Home Secretary, Govind Mohan, in New Delhi.
The delegation was led by Parkash Chandra, sangathan mantri, LUB and Om Parkash Gupta, national general secretary, LUB.
During the meeting, Parveen Pargal, president, LUB and Aagam Jain, general secretary, LUB presented a detailed memorandum to the Union Home Secretary.
Pargal emphasized the urgent need to grant registration under NCSS (New Central Sector Scheme) to all eligible investors who have applied on or before September 30, 2024 whether online or offline as a measure to build investor confidence and stimulate industrial development in J&K.
He further stressed to form a new industrial package for the UT of J&K and urged the Government to for an overall industrial incentive allocation for the next ten years for both new and existing industries.
Aagam Jain highlighted key concerns around the capping of turnover-based incentives for existing industries.
He urged that such incentives be granted in full, regardless of budgetary limitations, in order to ensure equality and encourage MSME growth.
The Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan listened to the delegation’s concerns with patience and assured that all the matters raised would be taken up for review and resolved in a stipulated time frame.
