NEW DELHI: Lt Gen Satish Dua, a counter terrorism specialist who played a key role in planning the much-talked about surgical strikes in PoK, has taken over as the Chief of Integrated Defence Staff to the Chairman Chiefs of Staff Committee (CISC).
Though he had formally taken over the position on October 31, it was his first day in office today and was accorded a Tri-Services Guard of Honour.
Prior to this, Gen Dua was General Officer Commanding of the Army’s strategic Chinar Corps (15 Corps) responsible for guarding the Line of Control in Kashmir. (AGENCIES)
