SRINAGAR, Jan 18: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, today visited various Army formations and units across North and South Kashmir to review the prevailing security situation.
During the visit, he assessed operational preparedness, security measures and the overall posture of the forces.
He also interacted with troops and staff at the Joint Control Center to take stock of ground-level coordination and readiness.
The Army Commander stressed the need for close coordination, seamless communication and strong synergy among all stakeholders to effectively deal with emerging security challenges.
He highlighted the importance of inter-agency cooperation for real-time intelligence sharing and better situational awareness.
Lt Gen Sharma praised the professionalism, dedication and high morale of the troops and urged them to remain vigilant while continuing to uphold high standards of operational excellence to maintain peace and stability in the region.
