SRINAGAR, Nov 11: Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma, Army Commander Northern Command, today visited North Kashmir to review the anti-infiltration grid and assess the operational preparedness of troops deployed along the Line of Control (LoC).
During the visit, he was briefed about the prevailing security situation and the measures being taken to maintain a strong counter-infiltration posture.
He interacted with officers and troops, appreciating their professionalism, dedication, and vigilance in guarding the nation’s borders under tough conditions.
Lt Gen Sharma commended the troops for their improved surveillance systems, precision strike capabilities, and high level of readiness to deal with any emerging threats.
He also stressed on maintaining close coordination with other security agencies to ensure lasting peace and stability in the region.
The visit reflected the Army Commander’s confidence in the operational efficiency of the Northern Command and the steadfast commitment of soldiers to protect the nation’s sovereignty and integrity.
