JAMMU, Feb 1: Lagan Society for Art and Culture (LSAC) organized ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ at Writer’s Club, Abhinav Theatre Complex, Jammu with great enthusiasm.
The event was graced by distinguished personalities from various walks of life, leaving the audience enthralled with soulful performances and heartfelt tributes to Indian music and culture.
The programme witnessed the gracious presence of Sanjeev Verma, Chief Electoral Officer Jammu as the chief guest while Gurdev Kumar, Joint Director, School Education, Jammu and Harvinder Kour, Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, were the guests of honour. Lal Chand, Additional Secretary, JKAACL and Additional Advocate General, Sudesh Mangotra were the special guests. The function was presided over by Sohail Kazmi (senior journalist and social activist).
The evening commenced with a welcome address by Advocate Sandeep Gupta (patron, LSAC) followed by mesmerizing performances of young child artists whose innocence and melodious renditions captivated the hearts of all present.
A series of soulful bhajans by renowned artists such as Manju Bala, VipashVaid, Jyotsana Dogra, Advait Sharma, Advik Chowdhery, Parmita Sharma, Lagan Verma, Aditya Sharma, Advaita Verma, Ruhan Jain, Adhaan Jain, Ayushman Bhardwaj, Kritika Chowdhery and Rajesh Kumarkept the audience spellbound.
The musical ensemble featured Deepak Sharma on the keyboard, Dheeraj Sharma on the Tabla, Akshay Chanan on Dholak and Nelish Sharma on the guitar, adding depth and harmony to the performances.
In his address, Sanjeev Verma lauded the exceptional talent showcased by the young artists and highlighted tireless efforts of Society president Rajesh Kumar in channelizing the creative energies of the youth towards music.
