KATHUA, Aug 31: The Low Paid Employees Federation (LPEF) took out a procession at Billawar in support of the demands of the employees.
The procession started from Dak Bungalow and at Tehsil headquarters. It converted into an impressive rally which was led by Isher Dass Sangra, tehsil president of the Federation. It sought speedy regularization of daily wage, need based and CP workers working in various departments over seven years now.
The protesters also demanded regularization of all those workers and daily wagers who have been engaged after 1994. Further, the Federation demanded expeditious payment of wage arrears pending for over 38 to 57 months due to which they and their families are unduly facing acute financial hardships on account of sky high rising prices of all essential goods of daily consumption very rapidly.
Kabla Singh district president LPEF , Kathua, Tara Chand, Bishan Dass, Saleem Ahmed and Sagar Singh addressed the rally.
The Speakers also demanded immediate implementation of 7th pay Commission.
