JAMMU, Dec 29: Low Paid Government Employees Federation has demanded hike in the Medical Allowance of the employees and pensioners and also to release the GP Fund amount of the retired employees.
In a meeting of the LPEF held here today under the chairmanship of Shakeel Ahmed Dev, the committee members demanded hike in the Medical Allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 1000 per month, release of GP Fund, Gratuity and Commutation of all the recently retired employees, and conduct DPC of all the employees of all the departments twice a year.
They also demanded payment of pending 18 months DA arrears with held during the Corona period and regularization of all the daily rated workers including Anganwadi, Asha workers and cooks of Government schools and hike in their wages/ honorarium, besides Numberdars and Chowkidars. They also demanded to restore old pension scheme.
