Lord Ram’s ideals inspire to build society where there’s harmony, values and dignity for all: Delhi CM

NEW DELHI, March 26 : Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Thursday greeted the residents of the national capital on the occasion of Ram Navmi, a festival celebrated to mark birth anniversary of Lord Ram.

CM prayed that may blessings of Lord Ram fill every home with happiness, peace, and excellent health.

Taking to social media platform X, Gupta wrote, “May this great festival of propriety and truth bring new energy and joy to all your lives.”

CM stated that the entire life of Lord Ram, who is also the symbol of the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness and truth over falsehood, is an unparalleled ideal of patience, sacrifice, penance and public welfare.

She also said that his life also symbolizes a divine path of patience, sacrifice, penance and public welfare.

According to Gupta, Lord Ram’s ideals inspire to build a society where harmony prevails, values are upheld and the dignity of every citizen is assured.

Conducting the Kanya Pujan on the occasion, Gupta said that daughters are symbols of good fortune, embodiments of strength, and the sacred blessings of a mother.

She expressed that worshipping the daughters on the occasion filled her heart with profound emotion.

CM further said that the occasion of Durga Ashtami teaches that every daughter embodies the radiant form of the primordial divine energy, while the affection and honor of daughters infuses life with purity and auspiciousness.

CM shared that her prayer to Durga Maa is that he continues to shower her grace upon all, and may the light of happiness and prosperity spread in every home.

Meanwhile, there are several women centric initiatives as part of the recently rolled out budget for the financial year 2026- 2027.

CM had said that these initiatives will not only empower women, but also be in line with making them financially independent.

One of the initiative is going to be the ‘Pink Auto’ scheme for women, which is aimed to boost women’s economic independence.

According to Gupta, the government will issue 1,000 new auto permits to women, and these auto rickshaws will be driven by women, offering them dignified employment and greater self-reliance, she added.
