While addressing a gathering in the D H Pora area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district, she said. “You (Sajjad Lone) gave guns to these young people. You told them to go to Pakistan for arms training and promised freedom. Thousands of our youth were killed, and you filled graveyards here,” Itoo said.

She alleged that Lone, who once raised slogans of “Azadi,” later joined hands with the BJP Government and became the Social Welfare Minister. “At that time, you did not talk about reservation or the welfare of the people. But today you are giving slogans only because you are hurt that Omar is the Chief Minister,” she said.
Defending the democratic mandate, Itoo said Omar was elected by the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Surinder Chaudhary was elected by the people, and she herself was chosen by the people of Noorabad.
