JAMMU, May 23: Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today assigned the charge of Science and Technology Department to Social Welfare, ARI and Training Minister Sajad Gani Lone.
The independent charge of Science and Technology Department was presently held by Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge) Sunil Sharma, BJP MLA from Kishtwar.
An official order said the charge of Science and Technology Department has been withdrawn from Sunil Sharma.
After getting charge of Science and Technology Department, Lone today assumed charge of his Ministry and chaired District Development Board (DDB) meeting of district Doda, of which he is Chairman.
Lone had refused to join office since allocation of Social Welfare portfolio on April 4, the day of oath, saying it didn’t come up to his expectations.
