REASI, Aug 12: The Domel-Katra road leading to world famous Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji is still in dilapidated condition which is adding to the problems of the vehicles plying over it.
While the expressway along this stretch is currently under construction, pilgrims and locals are urging the authorities to urgently repair the road.
A pilgrim claimed that his father developed severe back pains after travelling over Domel-Katra road.
Locals of the area have demanded reviving of the alternate route from Jagti to Deva Mai and then on to Katra, till the expressway is completed.
They claimed that opening of this traditional road would ease the sufferings of the pilgrims and locals.
Other locals stated that improving or reopening the old route is the best short-term solution until the new expressway is ready.
