REASI, Nov 12: Locals of village Kreni in Panchayat Sirla and the devotees visiting Baba Ballav Ji temple there are suffering a lot because of extremely bad condition of the road leading to the village.
The villagers have demanded machmadization of the road which is in shambles. This road, which is approximately one km long, connects the village with the main road. Locals said that there is a temple dedicated to Baba Ballav Ji and is visited by pilgrim from Jammu and outside the State. “But in view of the extremely bad condition of the road, the visiting pilgrims are forced to park their vehicles approximately one km away from the temple and cover the distance on foot,” the villagers said.
During rainy season, the road virtually takes the shape of a nallah and it becomes extremely difficult for the villagers to cross the same. The locals also said that they had repeatedly apprised the administration and MLA about the problem but nothing was done so far. They also appealed the district administration to look into the matter and order machmadization of the road on priority.
