SAMBA, May 30: Legal Metrology Department (LMD) team from Samba today conducted surprise checking at Samba, Vijaypur, Ramgarh and Bari Brahmana area and booked 33 traders for default today.
Official sources said that the team led by Assistant Controller, LMD Samba, Anita Sharma conducted market checking at Samba, Vijaypur, Swankha, Ramgarh and Bari Brahmana towns and booked 33 traders including book sellers, sweet shops, ice-cream vendors, electric goods shops, vegetable and fruit vendors, provision and hardware stores. A fine of Rs 36,600 was imposed on the defaulters and recovered on the spot.
