KATHUA, Aug 20: In view of ensuing Eid festival the enforcement team of Legal Metrology Department, Kathua comprising the Inspectors LMD Kathua and Dayalachak and under the supervision of Assistant Controller, Kuldeep Raj conducted market inspection at Kathua town and adjoining areas.
The inspection team conducted inspection of variety of trade establishments near DC Office, Main Bazar and industrial area Kathua. During the inspection , the team booked manufacturer of Bonn Bread M/S Rattan Agro Foods for violation of Legal Metrology Packaged Commodities Rules 2011 and the case was compounded on the spot by the Assistant Controller, LM Kathua for Rs 25000.
The team also booked seven more traders for violation of Legal Metrology Act and rules including some mutton shops and one famous baker of Kathua M/S Cakes and Bakes.
