UDHAMPUR, Apr 21: Continuing its drive to protect consumers against illegal trade practices, Legal Metrology Department (LMD) Udhampur conducted checking at Battal, Chenani, Udhampur and adjoining areas and recovered a fine of Rs. 11100 from eight erring traders for violation of various provisions of weights and measures.
Further, the department has asked the traders to get their weights and measures verified from the department and not to indulge in fraudulent trade practices to deceive the consumers.
