JAMMU, May 14: A live shell was defused by security forces at Jhajjar Kotli area here today.
Around 9:45 am, one Sita Ram of Sailli area in Tarah Panchayat of Dansal Block spotted a live shell in his fields and informed the police, a police official said.

Accordingly, a team of police and Bomb Disposal Squad reached at the spot and defused the shell around 1:30 pm, he said.
On how the shell reached non-border area (Jhajjar Kotli), the police official said, “We’re investigating into the matter.”
