KATRA, Aug 17: Foiling an attempt of smuggling liquor into holy town Katra, Police seized 25 quarters of JK Special Whiskey.
During checking of vehicles at the Nomain naka point, police party intercepted a red-coloured Hyundai i10 car bearing registration number JK02AL-1476. On thorough checking, 25 quarters of JK Special Whiskey (250 ml each) were recovered from the car.
The vehicle was found to be owned by Gurdeep Singh, son of Tara Singh, resident of Lower Lakshmi Nagar, Sarwal, Jammu.
In this regard, FIR number 238/2025 U/S 223 BNS has been registered at Police Station Katra and further investigation has been set into motion.
