JAMMU, July 20: A Power Development Department (PDD) lineman died due to electrocution at Talab Tillo area here today.
While repairing a damaged electric wire at Friends Colony, Talab Tillo, Jammu, PDD lineman, Mohinder Pal (45) son of Tara Chand of Hakkal, Chattha, suffered an electric shock, resulting in severe injuries to him, a police official said.
He was immediately taken to Government Medical College Jammu by his colleague, where doctors declared him as dead on arrival, he said.
While the body of the deceased has been shifted to the mortuary of the Government Medical College and Hospital Jammu for conducting the post-mortem examination, police have registered a case under the relevant sections of the law at the concerned police station and started further investigation into the matter, added the police official.
