JAMMU, June 24: In a novel initiative blending modern technology with ancient heritage, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha today unveiled the 2nd edition of a specially designed LED glow Lord Mahadev Shivling Pratima with MP3 audio pre-recorded ancient Katha of Lord Shiva and Maa Parvati, along with Bhakti bhajans and Leelas.
Prominent among those present on the occasion included Kiran Wattal, president, Shri Amarnath Yatra Welfare Society, Anil Gupta, senior vice president, Chamber, Prem Sharma, general secretary, Shri Amarnath Yatra Welfare Society and Sahil Gupta, joint secretary, Shri AmarnathYatra Welfare Society.
Speaking on the occasion, LG Manoj Sinha said, “This novel initiative is a great way to make aware the members of the Hindu community about the religio-cultural heritage of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra. It’s a wonderful blend of modern technology and ancient traditions.”
“This innovative initiative is a testament to the power of technology in preserving and promoting cultural heritage and it is expected to have a significant impact on the community,” added Sinha.
Kiran Watal, president of Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Welfare Society in his address informed that the LED glow Pratima combines modern technology with the rich cultural heritage of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra, making it a unique and captivating experience. This initiative aims to educate and engage the younger generation about their cultural roots and the significance of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.
“The soft copy of this innovation will be made available to the Hindu community worldwide, allowing those residing far from their native places to connect with their heritage. We believe in attracting young people to our heritage and culture. This initiative will motivate the younger generation to connect with their roots,” he said.
Wattal also emphasized the importance of preserving temples and shrines to strengthen local culture and ensure the heritage of India is protected.
