Tirupati, Jan 1: Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday offered prayers at the revered Lord Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh.
During his visit to the hill shrine, the Lieutenant Governor paid obeisance at the temple and sought blessings. The Lord Venkateswara Temple, located at Tirumala near Tirupati, is one of the most prominent pilgrimage centres in the country and attracts millions of devotees every year.
Officials said the visit was part of his personal religious engagements during his stay in Andhra Pradesh. Security and temple authorities facilitated the smooth conduct of the prayers.
The Lord Venkateswara Temple holds immense religious significance and is dedicated to Lord Balaji, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. [KNT]
