Leh, Sept 9: The Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, Kavinder Gupta, expressed his gratitude to the Hon’ble Union Home Minister, Amit Shah; the Union Home Secretary, Govind Mohan, and the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) for facilitating the advertisement of vacancies in the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh.
The Lieutenant Governor stated that the advertisement of posts is in line with the aspirations of the people of Ladakh, providing 80% reservation for Scheduled Tribes of Ladakh and 4% reservation for residents of areas adjoining the Actual Line of Control (ALC).
He informed that the recruitment of 32 posts of Accounts Officer, 125 posts of Medical Officer, and 67 posts of Lecturer in various disciplines will strengthen key sectors of administration, particularly Health and Education, ensuring improved medical services and quality education across the UT.
The Lt Governor observed that this step reflects the Government of India’s commitment to safeguarding the rights and interests of the people of Ladakh and ensuring equitable opportunities in public services. He further stated that it will create new avenues for the youth of Ladakh, contributing significantly to inclusive growth and holistic development in the region.
