REASI, Jan 2: A leopard cub was rescued by the Forest Department in Reasi on Friday after it was spotted in a field in Kyala area near the DC Office.
According to DFO Reasi, a local resident noticed the cub in his fields and immediately informed forest officials.

Soon after receiving the information, a team from the Forest Department reached the spot and safely rescued the leopard cub. The Wildlife Department, Jammu, has also been informed and will take custody of the cub for further care and rehabilitation.
It is pertinent to mention that over the past one month, locals had repeatedly reported sightings of a leopard in the area, causing concern among residents.
