Leopard captured in Doda

DODA, July 16: Personnel of Wildlife Department here today captured a leopard.
A trapping cage was installed at Nalwa Doda on the demand of the public after a leopard was seen roaming in the area which also attacked cattle in the villages.

The capture of the leopard was seen as a big relief for the villagers. The operation was done under the supervision of Range Officer Kishtwar and Wildlife Warden Chenab Kishtwar.
The iron traps set up in the village by the Wildlife Department have not been removed yet as more leopards are roaming in the area.
