SRINAGAR: Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Council (LC) was adjourned sine die today after obituary references without discussing the Goods and Services Tax (GST) .

Soon after members participated in the obituary references, Chairman Haji Anayat   Ali adjourned the House sine die.

He said that it was decided during the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) meeting held shortly before the start of the session that no discussion will be held on GST in the House which will be adjourned sine die after obituary references.

He said the House will meet again only after Governor N N Vohra issued a fresh summon.

Mr Vohra had summoned a special session of both the Houses from today to discuss and approve the GST.

Earlier, the Legislative Assembly was also adjourned sine die without passing the GST. (AGENCIES)
