Legal awareness camp held for Pak shelling victims

SRINAGAR, May 27: The Tehsil Legal Services Authority (TLSA) Uri today held a legal awareness program at Higher Secondary School Sultandaki in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district to educate victims of Pak shelling about their rights and legal support options.
According to a TLSA spokesperson, around 300 residents from the border villages of Dachi, Kamalkote, Sultandaki, Salambad, and Basgran attended the event. “The program aimed to inform people about how they can seek justice and compensation for the losses they suffer due to shelling incidents. Several advocates spoke to the gathering and explained the legal help available to affected families,” he said.
He added that members of the Bar Association Uri, including vice president Mumtaz Ahmad Beigh, secretary Ashaq Rasool Mir, Advocate Aziz Akber, and Advocate Hussain Ahmad Khan, were also present.
