JAMMU, Aug 31: JK Lecturers Forum/ Government Teachers Forum Jammu has sought intervention of Education Minister Sakeena Itoo for the regularization of Incharge Lecturers/ Principal and strict adherence of transfer policy.
Addressing a press conference, here today, the Forum president Vijay Kumar drew attention towards various issues related to teaching community, particularly regularisation of Incharge Lecturers in Physics, Chemistry, Botany, Zoology and other subjects, Headmaster, ZEO and Principal.
He said that regularisation of Incharge Lecturers who have acquired the degree during the service is pending since two decades even as they had secured permission for the same through their concerned directors as per the direction issued by Govt from time to time.
“Last year, Govt. had issued an order No. 188-JK (Edu) of 2024 dated 15.03.2024 for one time exemption to such Lecturers. All the files of Incharge Lecturers were submitted by the office of DSEJ in May 2024 Vide Govt Order No. DSEJ/Trg./2024/13439 dated 29.05.2024 and DSEJ/Trg/2024/11599 dated 08.07.2024 for grant of one time exemption to Administrative Department so that all the Incharge Lecturers are regularised well in time but no response is obtained from GAD till date,” he lamented, adding that a number of Incharge Lecturer have retired and expired without regularisation.
The Forum leader also requested the Education Minister, Director School Education Jammu and CEO of Jammu to transfer the teachers and lecturers to nearby their residence who are at the verge of retirement.
“Other lecturers who are serving in the other districts since 2020 and wanted to get shifted to their respective districts may be transferred by making suitable transfer policy,” they said.
The Frum General Secretary, Rakesh Kumar Verma, Advisory Kuljeet Singh and Chief Advisor Subash Chander also addressed the press conference.
