JAMMU, June 6: All J&K Plus Two Lecturers’ Forum has urged Lt Governor Manoj Sinha for creation of Deputation/Reserve Posts in School Education Department.
The demand was raised during monthly meeting of the Forum, held under the chairmanship of its president Deepak Sharma through virtual mode.
Deepak Sharma said that there is a great disparity between In-position strength and sanctioned posts as considerable number of Joint Directors and equivalents, CEOs and equivalents, Principals and Lecturers have been deputed to JKBOSE, Samagra Shiksha and other offices on different assignments without actual creation of posts thereby leading to financial as well as loss of considerable period of service rendered in incharge capacity at the time of regularisation which can be gauged from recent regularisation of JDs, CEOs and Principals. He sought LG’s intervention for creation of 10 to 25 percent Deputation/Reserve posts in School Education Department on the analogy of other departments of UT of J&K to end the discrimination/exploitation.
Forum also demanded expediting of regularisation of all left out cases of Principals, pending for want of vigilance clearance and without any fault on part of incharge individuals.
Forum demanded expediting of promotion list of CEOs and equivalents as about 28 posts are lying vacant and additional list of Senior Lecturers as the Principals’ regularisation has paved the way for the same. Forum also reiterated the demand of release of promotion list of Higher Secondary School Principals for smooth functioning of School Education Department as about 300 schools are lying headless and also stressed that charge allowance be given to about 2000 Lecturers working in incharge capacity to end exploitation of human resource and further demanded that in future all promotions should be done in regularised capacity only.
NS Jamwal, former president of the Forum appealed the cadre to fight unitedly for common cause and goal and not to pay heed to divisive elements.
Proceedings of the meeting were conducted by General secretary RS Slathia. Others who deliberated in the meeting, included vice president Anil Sharma, Chief organiser Sanjay Bhagat, chief patron Charan Dass, Distt presidents, Imtiaz Qazmi, Ashok Sharma, Jatinder Sethi, Fazal Hussain, AR Giri, and Arunesh Kumar, Anwar Khan, Mulk Raj, Kewal Krishan , Satish Chandel, Kewal Kumar and Ajay Sehgal.
