Lecturers’ Forum calls on Education Minister, raises issue of regularisation

POONCH, Aug 8: A delegation of All J&K +2 Lecturers’ Forum, District Unit Poonch, under the leadership of district president Jagjeet Singh, called on Minister of School Education , Sakina Masood Itoo at Poonch during two-day tour of the Minister to the district.
Jagjeet Singh raised the issue of delay in regularisation of Incharge lecturers for no reason. He also urged for immediate posting of Principals in headless schools as it was badly effecting the smooth functioning of such schools. He advocated for doing away with zonation in ATD of Lecturers as it was not serving the purpose of Annual Transfer Drive. He , instead urged for School-specific transfers.
The delegation demanded for early release of transfer list of Jammu division as the transfer list under ATD of Kashmir division has already been released providing a much needed relief to the lecturers.
The delegation of the Forum raised the crucial issue of grant of ACP in favour of officers of +2 cadre so that injustice to this class of officers is put to an end.
Reacting and responding to the issues raised by the delegation, Sakina Itoo assured the visiting delegation that the issue of regularisation would be soon resolved to provide relief to the hundreds of incharge lecturers awaiting their regularisation.
On other issues, the Minister said that the Govt was already working on them and assured the delegation that priority would be given to the key issues that had been raised by the Forum
