Leaders express anguish over loss of 2 soldiers in IED blast

JAMMU, Feb 12: Leaders of several political and social organizations today expressed their anguish over martyrdom of two Indian soldiers in an IED blast near the Line of Control (LoC) in the Akhnoor sector yesterday.
Condemning the fatal terror act, Sat Sharma (President, J&K BJP), said that frequent attacks on the Indian soil at the behest of neighbouring rogue country will not be tolerated at any cost. Expressing solidarity with the families of the martyred soldiers, Sat Sharma stressed that the brave hearts have written a saga of supreme sacrifice, and their sacrifice will not go in vain. He said that the whole nation salutes them for their bravery.
Senior BJP leader and former deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta has strongly condemned the cowardly act of terrorism in which two brave Army personnel, including a Captain, lost their lives. Expressing profound grief over the loss of lives, Kavinder asserted that such heinous acts of terrorism reflect Pakistan’s growing frustration as peace and development continue to flourish in J&K. He said Pakistan and its proxies are desperate to create an atmosphere of fear and instability, but their nefarious designs will never succeed.
National Conference additional general secretary and former Minister, Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, in a statement issued from Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, condemned the cowardly act and expressed serious concern over the continuous attempts by Pakistan to fuel terrorism in the region. Sadhotra urged the Government to act swiftly and strongly against terror elements and their harbours. Expressing solidarity with the families of the brave hearts, Sadhotra said that the nation stands with them in this hour of grief and will remain indebted to their supreme sacrifice.
Apni Party provincial president Manjit Singh visited the bereaved family of Naik Mukesh Singh Manhas, who was martyred along the LoC in Akhnoor sector yesterday. Manjit was accompanied by the Party’s district youth president Samna, Mangat Ram. He met the bereaved family and expressed his deepest condolences and solidarity with them. He also strongly condemned Pakistan for its role in fueling terrorism in J&K.
Dr Parneesh Mahajan, convenor of the Department of Training, J&K BJP, has strongly condemned the brutal IED attack near the Line of Control (LoC) in Akhnoor, which claimed the lives of two brave Army personnel, including a Captain. He stated that Pakistan’s persistent attempts to destabilize Jammu & Kashmir through terrorism are doomed to fail as the region moves forward on the path of peace and progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Lamenting the loss of precious lives, Dr Parneesh Mahajan, convenor of the Department of Training, J&K BJP, stated that Pakistan’s persistent attempts to destabilize J&K through terrorism are doomed to fail as the region moves forward on the path of peace and progress. The BJP leader further stated that every drop of the martyrs’ blood will be avenged, and terrorism will not be allowed to rear its head in the Union Territory.
Shiv Sena Hindustan J&K president Pt Rajesh Kesri, in a press conference held here today, expressed his heartfelt tribute to the two brave soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. He extended his deepest condolences to the bereaved families and acknowledged the unwavering commitment and valour of the armed forces in safeguarding the nation. Condemning the attack, Kesri strongly criticized Pakistan’s continued support for terrorism.
Mission Statehood Jammu Kashmir (MSJK) led by its president Sunil Dimple today organized a protest against Pakistan, condemning the martyrdom of two Indian soldiers in the IED blast. The protesters burned effigies of Pakistan, its flag and the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) to express their anger over the incident. Sunil Dimple called for the immediate destruction of terrorist training camps operating in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
