NEW DELHI, Apr 25: Lead futures prices today rose by 0.42 per cent to Rs 131.40 per kg on rising spot demand and positive cues from global markets.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in April traded 55 paise, or 0.42 per cent higher, at Rs 131.40 per kg, with a turnover of 1,423 lots.
The metal for delivery in May also rose by 50 paise, or 0.38 per cent, to trade at Rs 132.55 per kg, in a business turnover of 89 lots.
Marketmen said besides strong domestic demand from battery-makers, a firm trend at the London Metal Exchange as the outlook for demand improved in the US, the world’s second-largest user of the metal, supported the upside in lead futures here. (PTI)
