NEW DELHI, Sept 29: Lead prices slipped 0.41 per cent to Rs 109.35 per kg in futures trade today due to sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a weak global trend.
At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery this month fell 45 paise, or 0.41 per cent, to Rs 109.35 per kg in a business turnover of 149 lots.
Also, the metal for delivery in October month contracts edged lower by 35 paise, or 0.32 per cent to Rs 109.35 per kg in 26 lots
According to analysts, a sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market and a weak trend in copper and other base metals at the London Metal Exchange, kept pressure on lead futures here. (PTI)
