JAMMU, Sept 29: Students of Lawrence Public School brought pride to the institution by winning an impressive tally of 5 Gold and 4 Silver medals at the Inter School Karate Championship organized by Genseiryu Karate-do Association under the aegis of the Amateur Karate Association J&K.
The event, held at United Martial Arts Academy, Jammu, saw the participation of around 130 students from various schools across the Jammu region. Chief Guest, Rajeev Khajuria, Joint Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, congratulated the winners and praised their skill and discipline.
Gold medallists from Lawrence School included Divam Kumar, Abbies Shakeel, Aryan Sharma, Abhinav Jamwal and Mohammad Asif, while Hamad Firdos, Ifam Younis, Sahil Subzar and Mohd. Ibrahim secured Silver medals. The chief guest also lauded their instructor, Surjit Dogra, for his dedicated training and appreciated the organisers for promoting martial arts among youth. The event concluded with best wishes for all participants.
