JAMMU, Jan 23: Students from various law colleges gathered today at the head office of Team Jammu in Shakti Nagar, Jammu, to pledge their full commitment in the relentless battle against the drug mafia that continues to ravage the youth of Jammu and Kashmir.
The event marked a decisive step in Team Jammu’s efforts to tackle the growing drug menace while simultaneously working to preserve the region’s rich Dogri language, culture and heritage.
The students took an oath to be active participants in spreading awareness about the destructive impact of drugs, helping to educate their peers, and advocating for strong, community-driven action against the drug mafia. They also committed to working alongside Team Jammu to ensure that those involved in the drug trade are brought to justice.
Zorawar Singh Jamwal, Chairman Team Jammu, encouraged the students and welcomed their active involvement in this crucial fight. “Today marks a powerful step in our war against the drug mafia. These law students will not only spread awareness but will also be at the forefront, using their legal expertise to break the drug mafia’s hold on our community. With their dedication, I believe we can make a significant dent in this fight and restore a sense of safety and hope for the youth of Jammu and Kashmir,” he stated.
The students will also gain practical experience in the coming months, working within the legal system to actively dismantle the drug network. This initiative is expected to play a crucial role in breaking the mafia’s grip on the region and providing a brighter, drug-free future for the younger generation.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, who echoed the importance of youth involvement in this urgent battle against drug abuse.
