Lap Cholecystectomy conducted successfully at Maxx Lyfe Hospital

JAMMU, Sept 1: A 62-year-old female, having stone in gall bladder and a known case of old treated pulmonary tuberculosis was treated successfully by conducting Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy.
Patient was having one lung fibrosis as a result of TB and tracheal shift and was a known case of Hypertension, T2DM and Hypothyroidism. So, it was a challenging case for both the anaesthetist and surgeon but doctors at Maxx Lyfe Hospital successfully treated the patients by conducting Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy with gentle low volume ventilation and low intra abdominal CO2 pressure. Patient behaved very well post extubation and maintained all the parameters nicely.
A team comprising of Dr Barinder Kumar surgeon along with anaesthetist Dr Pawan Kumar and theatre staff Joginder, Irfan performed this difficult surgery which is almost impossible in Jammu. This was informed by Medical Director Maxx Lyfe hospital Jammu.
He said that this patient was from Rajouri and he was in touch with many surgeons and anaesthetists in Jammu but in the end the team leader by young Surgeon Dr Barinder Kumar and senior Anaesthetist Dr Pawan took the initiative and perform this challenging surgery.
