RAMBAN, May 21: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA), Ramban, Neelam Kumar Langeh, conducted an extensive tour of various villages of block Ramban and Batote and took stock of the problems being faced by the people.
Accompanied by XEn REW and BDOs of Batote and Ramban, the MLA toured Karma, Sawni, Ghari, Waghna, Halla and Jathgali Panchayat. At Panchayat Karma, Langeh inaugurated a tractor road constructed by Department of Rural Development with an expenditure of Rs 5 lakh.
He also announced ceiling fans and benches for UPS Kasal and Middle School Sawni besides a 25 KVA transformer for village Kathyala of Panchayat Sawni from his CD fund. He also sanctioned two lakhs out of CDF for school play ground for Government High School, Jathgali besides two transformers of 25 KVA.
Meanwhile, he visited in various schools including Upper Primary School Kundi Karol, Government Middle Schools Baghna and Balli and High School Dhar to check all aspects of education being provided to the students besides inspecting the infrastructure of school. He also directed the officials to perform their duties with punctuality, zeal and dedication without making the general public to suffer.
Langeh also interacted with the people of far flung areas. They apprised him with many problems and demands mainly uninterrupted power supply, shortage of staff in schools, issue of ration cards, school buildings, higher secondary school for Chill and road connectivity. Responding to demands MLA assured them that their genuine demands would be fulfilled as soon as possible.
