KISHTWAR, Oct 11: Twelve persons were injured here today after the vehicle they were onboard was hit by a landslide in Sigdi area of Chatroo.

Sources informed that the ill fated SUV vehicle bearing registration number JK17-0942 was on way to Kishtwar from Balana Sigdi and when it reached Ghratmorh some stones along with debris fell on it leaving one dozen persons onboard injured.
The injured were identified as Jevika, 5, daughter of Deepak, resident of Sigdi; Jamal Din, 48, son of Mahar Din, resident of Sigdi; Suresh Kumar, 38, son of Ram Chand, resident of Sigdi; Nazir Ahmed, 31, son of Mohd Shah, resident of Sigdi; Devan Chand, 48, son of Krishan Lal, resident of Sigdi; Tanvir Bhawani, 48, son of Majid Bhawani, resident of Sigdi; Ravi Kumar, 26, son of Shiv Nath, resident of Sigdi; Gudi Devi, 26, resident of Sigdi; Sonika, 4, daughter of Deepak Kumar, resident of Sigdi; Lakshmi Devi, 46, resident of Sigdi; Mira Devi, 29, resident of Tagood and Rinku Devi, 21, resident of Sigdi.
All the injured were immediately rushed to District Hospital Kishtwar from where three of them being critical were airlifted to GMC Jammu for specialised treatment.
After getting information about the accident MLA Kishtwar Shagun Parihar along with senior BJP leaders rushed to the District Hospital and assured the injured of best possible treatment.
Police has taken cognisance of the incident.
