JAMMU, July 10: A land dispute turned violent in Chak Phagwari village of Pargwal area on July 9 when five members of a family allegedly attacked another family with batons, leaving two people, including a woman, seriously injured.
Police said the victims, from the family of one Ajay Sharma, were transplanting paddy saplings on a piece of land when members of Balwan Singh’s family objected to the activity despite prior demarcation by the revenue department.
