Kargil, July 9 : Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council Kargil and Leh condemned the recent serial terror attack at religious places in Budh Gaya Bihar and termed it a cowardice step by the anti national elements.
This was stated during the third meeting held for strengthening the LAHDC Act and to increase the power capacity of the LAHDC Kargil and Leh and to adopt a common agenda regarding issues pertaining to Ladakh region Chief Executive Councilor Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan and CEC Leh Rigzin Spalbar chaired the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Executive Councilors Kargil, Haji Ghulam Amir Kamran and Punchok Tashi, Executive Councilor Leh, Sonam Dorjey, MP Ladakh Haji Ghulam Hassan Khan, MLC Leh Nurboo Gyaltson and Deputy Commissioner Kargil Fida Hussain.
The agenda which was finalized for placing before Chief Minister includes the bifurcation of the post of Chief Executive Officer and the Deputy Commissioner, taking the consent of concerned LAHDC during the transfer of Deputy Commissioner and SE, power of transfer in all cadres within the district except the HoD of concerned department to the concerned Hill Council and other issues.
The meeting also decided that to strengthen the LAHDC by amending some sections of LAHDC Act and joint representation will be forwarded to the Center and State Governments.
