Lady drug peddler arrested

JAMMU, June 20: Police under ‘Operation Sanjeevani’ arrested a lady drug peddler along with ganja from Bathindi Morh area, falling under the jurisdiction of Narwal police post.
As per police sources, on specific inputs, a police team laid a naka at Bhathindi Morh and apprehended a lady along with 4 kilograms of ganja.
The arrested lady has been identified as Nasima, wife of Murli, a resident of Moliv Paran, district Kaksu Bazaar, at present Bhathindi Morh.
The arrested lady was a notorious drug dealer and had brought the consignment for selling among the youth in Jammu, but the police thwarted her bid and saved the youth from becoming drug addicts.
A case under FIR Number 144/17 under Section 8/20 Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered at Bahu Fort police station and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment.
Police team led by SDPO West Arun Jamwal and assisted by Incharge Narwal police post SI Wasim Mehraj made the arrest under the supervision of SP Headquarters Jammu RC Kotwal.
