Srinagar, July 13: Police today said to have arrested two drug peddlers including one notorious lady peddler while recovering a contraband substance from their possession.
“Police party of police Station Shergharhi led by SHO Police Station Shergherhi Aftab Ahmad on a routine naka checking intercepted an Auto JK01AD 3359 and while searching recovered 50 guns of charas.The contraband and auto were seized and the accused namely Ayaz Ahmad Dar S/o Gh. Mohd. Dar R/o. Kurso Rajbagh arrested,” police said.
Accordingly, Case FIR No.48/19 U/S 8/20 NDPS was registered and the investigation was taken up, it said.
During the investigation of the case, police said, one notorious lady drug peddler Nigeena alias Anaconda W/o. Lt Gh. Mohd Sheikh R/o Samoon Colony was apprehended after recovery of 210 gms of charas from her residential house.
“The lady is a notorious drug peddler in the area and the residents of the locality have a sign of relief by her arrest,” police said.
