JAMMU, Mar 17: Khour Police arrested a lady along with large quantity of illicit liquor bottles.
As per police sources, a team from Police Station Khour led by SHO Inspector Balwinder Singh under the supervision of SDPO Akhnoor Varun Jandial laid a naka at Budwal Chowk and intercepted a lady.
During checking, police team recovered 29 bottles of illicit liquor from the possession of the lady and arrested him.
The arrested lady has been identified as Santosh Kumari, wife of Parshotam Singh of Budwal Tehsil Khour District Jammu. The lady was carrying the liquor for selling illegally to general public to make illegitimate profits.
A case under FIR Number 14/2021 under Section 48 (A) Excise Act has been registered at Police Station Khour and investigation started.
