LEH, Apr 15: The administration of the Union Territory (UT) of Ladakh has approved the formation of a committee to draft the procedural guidelines for the Ladakh Industrial Land Allotment Policy 2025-2035.
As per an order, Director Industries & Commerce, Ladakh, shall be the Chairperson of the committee and General Manager, DIC Leh, shall be the Member Secretary.
General Manager, DIC Kargil, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Leh/Kargil, SDM Nubra/Kharu/Khaltsi/Drass/Zanskar, Under Secretary, Industries & Commerce Department, Ladakh, Accounts Officer, Directorate of Industries & Commerce, Functional Manager, DIC Leh/Kargil, Project Manager, DIC Leh, Industrial Promotion Officer, Leh/Kargil, Legal Assistant, Directorate of Industries & Commerce, and Block Investigator (TN, IA) shall be the Members of the Committee, the order said.

The committee has been tasked with drafting procedural guidelines in accordance with the clauses notified in the Ladakh Industrial Land Allotment Policy, with condition that the draft guidelines must adhere to applicable land laws, environmental regulations, and sustainable industrial development practices in Ladakh.
Further, the committee has been asked to ensure that the guidelines establish clear, transparent, and time-bound procedures for industrial land allotment, minimizing delays and promoting Ease of Doing Business.
The committee has been directed to ensure timely completion of its assigned task and submit the draft procedural guidelines within the stipulated timeframe.
