JAMMU, May 28: A deputation of Leh Apex Body (LAB) and Kargil Democratic Alliance (KDA) today called on Union Home Minister Amit Shah in New Delhi and briefed him on their issues.

They demanded that the notification for recruitment in Gazetted cadre should be expedited as issue of domicile was settled in yesterday’s High Powered Committee (HPC) meeting chaired by Union MoS Home Nityanand Rai.
They also demanded that their other issues should also be adddressed expeditiously. The LAB and KDA have been demanding Statehood, Sixth schedule status, dedicated PSC and two Parliamentary seats for Ladakh. They submitted a memorandum to the Home Minister.
