JAMMU, Nov 21: A migrant labourer died today after he allegedly fell down from the stairs of an under construction building at Channi in city outskirts.
“Baghi Rath (35) son of Hasbi Lal, resident of Madhya Pradesh, who was presently residing in Channi area of city outskirts, received serious injuries after he accidentally fell off the stairs of a building where he was working as a labourer”, a police official said.
He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors. In this connection, inquest proceeding under 174 CrPC had been initiated at police station Channi Himmat and the body was sent for postmortem.
