This has reference to the news item ‘Non-enforcement of labour laws leads to violence’ DE Sept 28.
No other laws are being flouted in the country as are the labour laws. The laws which have been framed to protect the interests of labourers are often violated by big business houses. There is no doubt that non-implementation of these laws have always been a cause of friction between the two opposite camps.
The conflict is not in the interest of any party nor for the country. The Maruti Suzuki suffered too much during this year, so suffered the workers.
The Government should ensure that the rights of people working in factories or industries are implemented in right spirit.
It will help Government in creating conducive atmosphere for growth and foreign investment in the country.
